Anshu Jamsenpa, the first woman to climb Mt Everest twice within a week

Anshu Jamsenpa, a 32-year-old mountaineer from Arunachal Pradesh’s Bomdila town scripted history by reaching the summit of Mount Everest for the second time in less than a week, according to her expedition team.
She set the record for a double ascent of the world’s highest mountain within a week.

She returned from the 8,848-metre (29,028-feet) peak on May 16, before turning around after a short rest to repeat the feat
Jamsenpa, a mother of two, started at 1.45 a.m. on May 13 for her climb and reached the Everest top at 9 a.m. on May 16 to unfurl the national flag.

She started the summit expedition after 38 days of acclimatisation at the Everest Base Camp from April 4 to May 12.
